Amy received her degree from Oregon State University in 1982.  She is a wife, stay at home mom, and homeschooling parent.  She and her husband have four children, including a graduate of VCHS and a current VCHS student.  She enjoys volunteering at her church and with other ministries.

Evan Irwin

Parent of VC student and pastor of worship and music at Hinson Church

Evan received a Bachelor's degree from Warner Pacific college in Portland, Oregon and his Master's degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. For the past 26 years, he has taught all grade levels from elementary through college, and currently teaches in the Battle Ground School District. In addition, he is the music and worship pastor at Hinson Church In Portland. Evan and his wife Debi have four children and live in the Ridgefield area.

Joe Lanier

Joe received a Bachelor's degree in computer science from Southern Illinois University and has been employed in the telecommunications industry for the past 20 years. He and his wife have two daughters and work and live in Vancouver.

Vaugh Pugh

Business owner

Vaughn has a Bachelor's degree in secondary education with an emphasis on mathematics and Bible. He taught upper-level math, science, and Bible at Tacoma Baptist Schools for 18 years and was a high-school principal there for four years. Vaughn and his wife Michele have three children and attend Living Hope Church.

Kathy VanCuren

Parent of VC student and teacher at King's Way Christian School

Kathy is currently a second grade teacher at King's Way Christian school where she has taught since 1995.  She graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a Language Arts degree and teaching certificate in 1982.  She has two children --a graduate of VCHS and a current student at VCHS.

Rob Winkler

Parent of VC student and pastor of Turning Point Christian Center

Rob is the Senior Pastor of Turning Point Christian Center in Vancouver, Washington. He has more than 20 years of experience in ministry. He has served on Christian Boards of Education in Plainview, Texas for five years, Trinity Christian Schools in Lubbock, Texas for five years and Portland Christian Schools for four years. Rob and his wife Linda have four children: Tasha, Cody, Robby (a graduate of VCHS), and Geoffrey (a current student at VCHS).

Joe Zarelli

State senator
Joe was a member of the United States Navy from 1982-1989, and has served in the Senate since 1995. He is also president of JP Zarelli Inc., which specializes in business development and risk management services. He and his wife Tani have four children and two grandchildren.
